Name: Lindsey Brown
Title: Weekend Anchor/Reporter
Email Address: lindsey.brown@wtok.com

Lindsey is a lifelong Mississippi resident who grew up along the Mississippi coast in Long Beach. She came to Newscenter Eleven in 2006 as a general assignment reporter, but in July of 2007 she took over the responsibility of anchoring the weekend shows along with reporting.

Lindsey's work in Meridian has earned her a first place Associated Press award for her reporting on a deadly pipeline explosion in Clarke County and a second place spot news award for that same coverage. She received the thrill of her life when in March of 2008 she took to the skies to fly in an F-18 Hornet with the Blue Angels at NAS Meridian.

Her love for journalism began in high school where she worked for the news team, and while in college at the University of Mississippi she reported and anchored for her college station. She really fell in love with reporting while interning in newsrooms in Tampa, Florida and Biloxi. Lindsey's work as a student journalist earned her three state-wide AP awards and was named The University of Mississippi Broadcast Journalism Student of the Year in 2006.

Lindsey loves to travel and discover new places and cultures. Her favorite visits to date are Cannes, France and Washington D.C., but still loves seeing all the Magnolia State has to offer. With new friends and close family in the viewing area, she is proud to call East Mississippi home.
