Lindsey's love for journalism began in school where she was the Morning News Reporter for Long Beach High School. Her senior year she reported on 9-11 and the effects it had on her fellow students. Her senior year at Ole Miss she reported on another life changing event - the effects of Hurricane Katrina on her hometown - Long Beach, Mississippi. While in college, Lindsey interned at WFLA News Tampa, FL where she covered the 2004 Presidential Election and post 9-11 Air Port Security. The next summer she interned at WLOX News in Biloxi and reported on the Mississippi Coast Seafood Industry pre-Katrina. Before joining the Newscenter Eleven News Team, Lindsey both reported and anchored the evening newscast for Channel 12 News and reported for the Daily Mississippian in Oxford Miss. For her work as a student journalist, she was awarded three state-wide AP awards and was named University of Mississippi Broadcast Journalism Student of the Year. Lindsey believes that the constant need for public awareness drives her to create solid journalism. "With knowledge all is possible." When she's not reporting the news, Lindsey loves to exercises, watch live music and visit with friends and family. She enthusiastically welcomes Meridian into her life and anticipates a vibrant career as part of the Newscenter Eleven family.
