Fatal Accident

One person is dead following a weekend accident in Kemper County. It happened shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday on Highway 45, three miles north of Scooba.

The victim was 33-year-old Kenneth D. Walls, Jr., from Petal, Mississippi.

Investigators say Walls lost control of the 2001 Dodge Ram he was driving and ran off the highway.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the cause.
