Latest on Tourism Director Search

A new tourism director for Lauderdale County is expected to be named next week. Lauderdale County supervisors are expected to vote on a new director for tourism at their meeting Monday. The head of the county's tourism department resigned in July. Since then, almost a half dozen candidates have been interviewed. Monday's board of supervisors' meeting will be held at 9 a.m. in the county annex building.
