JACKSON –Youth 15 years and younger are invited to a youth fishing rodeo at Elvis Presley Lake beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12. The free event is hosted by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP).

Elvis Presley Lake is located 2 miles northeast of Tupelo, just off Hwy 78 east. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear, catfish bait, and stringers.

The event is a good opportunity for young anglers to fish a lake that is well stocked with catfish which are typically easy to catch. Families are invited to come enjoy quality time together in a safe environment.

JACKSON –Youth 15 years and younger are invited to a youth fishing rodeo at Lake Patsy beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, September 12. The free event is hosted by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) and the Lafayette County Law Enforcement Officers Association.

Lake Patsy is located in Lamar Park in Oxford. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear, catfish bait, and stringers.

The event is a good opportunity for young anglers to fish a lake that is well stocked with catfish which are typically easy to catch. Families are invited to come enjoy quality time together in a safe environment.

Natchez State Park is located at 230-B Wickcliff Road, Natchez. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear, catfish bait, and stringers. However, a limit amount of fishing gear will be available.

The event is a good opportunity for young anglers to fish a lake that is well stocked with catfish which are typically easy to catch. Families are invited to come enjoy quality time together in a safe environment.
