Community Blood Drive -
United Blood Services

Meridian, MS - in the bloodmobile
February 7th. From 1p.m. to 6p.m.

We are in a critical Appeal for all blood types, with the inclement weather this week we have lost over 800 pints we were projected to collect this week. We were already in a critical appeal before the weather and the cancellations have put us farther into the critical category for blood inventories.

Thanks,

Give Thanks by Helping to Save Lives

In order to meet the Thanksgiving holiday blood supply needs, United Blood Services is requesting that eligible blood donors donate blood at the Meridian Community Blood Drive. The blood drive will be held on Friday, November 29th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at United Blood Services, located at 1115 25th Avenue in Meridian; the bloodmobile will be in the parking lot.

If you’re running short on time, you can now take more control of the donation process, by doing your interview online the day of your donation. To do this, log on to www.unitedbloodsystems.org and click on the “Health History Questionnaire”, answer the questionnaire then, print your fast track ticket and bring it with you when come in to donate. Please note: The health history must be completed the same day as the donation.

Additionally, all donors will receive a specially designed black and gold “Everyday Saints Give Blood” t-shirt.

Donors may make an appointment at www.bloodhero.com, using sponsor code meridiancommunity or call 601-264-0743.

People who are 16 and older, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in good health are eligible to donate blood. Additional height/weight requirements apply to donors 22 and younger, and donors who are 16 must have a signed permission from a parent or guardian.
