Dear Golfers
Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 6th. That’s the date for the annual Steve Hull Memorial Golf Classic.
This year’s tournament will again take place at the spectacular Dancing Rabbit Golf Course on the Pearl River Resort. The format will be a 4-person scramble with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will be flighted with prizes going to the top 3 teams in each flight. We are asking that you check-in no later than 9:00 a.m. By arriving early, you will be able to enjoy a variety of fresh fruit and drinks. Following the completion of play, a late lunch including hamburgers and/or hotdogs, side items of your choosing, and a beverage will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own snacks to take with you on the course.
The cost is $600.00 per team, which is tax deductible. The entry fee includes golf, lunch, a T-shirt, goody bag and door prizes. There will also be closest to the pin prizes on all par three’s and a longest driving hole. We will also be offering valuable prizes for a hole-in-one and be giving away golf outings at premier courses in Mississippi and Alabama.
We have also blocked off a limited number of hotel rooms for Wednesday, June 5th at The Silver Star Casino for $79.00 plus 7% sales tax. If you wish to take advantage of this, call 1-866-44PEARL (447-3275) and ask for the reservations department. Once you have an agent, tell them that your group code is “GHULL13”. All room reservations must be made by midnight on May 15th. Contact Lindsey Hall for additional details.
There will be a hospitality room on June 5th from 7 p.m. - until. This is a presidential suite at the Silverstar. Snacks, free beverages (beer/cokes/water/liquor) will be provided.
So as you can see, this should be a terrific event. But I encourage you to enter as soon as possible as I anticipate a full field. We will again be utilizing both The Azaleas and The Oaks courses. The first 20 teams to register will have their pick of either course to play.
Please return the enclosed form and your entry fee. Deadline to enter is Friday, May 31st, but we could be full by then. Make checks payable to the “Steve Hull Memorial Fund.”
All proceeds from the tournament will go directly into a college fund that has been set up for Steve’s two children, Trex and Bailey. If you can’t golf, we still encourage you to make a donation in Steve’s behalf.
