Storm Drainage Improvements
MSU-Meridian Downtown Campus

This past July, the City of Meridian received a $2.7 million community development block grant from the Mississippi Development Authority for the purpose of making some much needed repairs to our storm drainage system and water lines that directly serve our Mississippi State University downtown campus.

This has been an ongoing project for nearly two years with MDA. The state's investment in MSU's Meridian campus is vital to our job growth. We are grateful for the professionalism and expertise of MDA and the Office of the Governor. They were wonderful to work with from day one.

We are currently reading the seven proposals submitted on the project. The project will focus on drainage improvements along 22nd Avenue and 5th Street.

We will keep you informed as we continue to move forward.
