Third Nine Weeks Common Assessments

MPSD students in grades three through twelve will take the third nine weeks common assessments.

Parkview Elementary School Hershey Day (A Virtual Field Trip)
Friday, March 8
Parkview Snoopy Center
Students will take a virtual field trip to Hershey, PA. They will take a walk through the museum, see the packaging process in the factory, take a ride on the roller coaster, get their picture taken in a photo booth, and they will receive a package of chocolate from the Hershey store.

Fifth grade students from T.J. Harris and Oakland Heights will tour Carver Middle School which is where they will attend school for sixth grade.

Fourth grade students participate in LinkUp concert with the Meridian Symphony Orchestra at the MSU Riley Center.
Poplar Springs Elementary Piano Keyboard Open House
Monday, March 25 - 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.
PSE Auditorium
Through a Meridian Junior Auxiliary Mini Grant and private donations, a piano lab with 22 keyboards has been added to the Poplar Springs Elementary music program. Fifth grade students will be demonstrating, and parents and the community are invited to see this lab in action.
West Hills Elementary Third Grade MCT2 Workshop
Monday, March 25 – 5:00 to 5:30 p.m.
This is an informative workshop for parents to help them understand how to help their child prepare for the MCT2 (state test) in May.
Crestwood Elementary Kindergarten Open House and Pre-Registration

Meridian High School Wildcat Players Present Seussical the Musical
Thursday, March 28 – 7:30 p.m.
MHS Auditorium
Cost: $7 for adults (18 and over), $5 for students, teachers (with ID), and military (with ID), and free for children 4 years old and under. Families of four will get a discounted price of $20.
The MHS Wildcat Players are joining forces with the MHS Choir and Band to present this musical as their spring production.
West Hills Elementary Fifth Grade MCT2 Prep Easter Egg Hunt
Thursday, March 28
Students hunt for Easter eggs and then work the problem found inside the egg in preparation for the state test in May.
Poplar Springs Elementary "Absolutely Abstract" Student Art Exhibit
Thursday, March 28 - 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Meridian Museum of Art
Third through fifth grade students at Poplar Springs have completed artwork with Artist in Residence Charlie Busler. This artwork will be exhibited at the Meridian Museum of Art. There will be an “Artist Talk” with Charlie Busler at 6 p.m.
MPSD Spring Recess
Friday, March 29 through Monday, April 1
All MPSD students will be out of school for Spring Recess.
