The plates will be $7.00 each. They will include Ribs, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans, Bread, and Cake. We also will deliver between the hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Mrs. Turnage’s 3rd grade class will tour Fairbanks Scales to see how scales are used in real world activities. Students will relate converting units to mechanical conversions.

The Gifted Gala celebrates the work of ArtQuest and Explore students. Fifth graders will honor Community Leaders during this event.

Ross Collins HOSA State Conference

Wednesday, April 10 – Friday, April 12

Natchez, MS

Seven Health Science Students from Ross Collins will compete in the State Competition against students from across Mississippi. They are competing for a chance to advance to HOSA National Competition held in Nashville, TN in June.

Meridian High School Spring Band Concert

Please join us for the Spring Band Concert. The MHS Band will be taking monetary donations during the concert to help their fellow band students at Choctaw County High School in Butler, AL. CCHS was destroyed by fire recently, and they are raising money to purchase new uniforms.

First grade students will visit the Jackson Zoo and the Rainforest Exhibit as the culmination of the unit they have been studying about the Rainforest its inhabitants.

Oakland Heights Elementary Kindergarten Trip to Jackson Zoo

Friday, April 26

Kindergarten students will visit the Jackson Zoo, and upon their return, the students will create and participate in a walk-through animal museum. Kindergarten will also create alphabet animal pictures to mimic the Mississippi artist, Walter Inglis Anderson.
