It is typically around the first week of November that we experience our first fall freeze in the Twin State area. National Weather Service climate data places the first freeze of the fall season at November 3rd.

A quick reminder with cold weather ahead to wrap up your exposed outdoor pipes like water faucets and inside your home, open your kitchen and bathroom cabinets to allow warmer air to circulate around the pipes. Its also recommended you let your faucets indoors slowly drip to avoid water freezing in your pipes

Its recommended that you wrap your tender plants or just simply bring them inside to avoid the cold. Also make sure your pets have a warm place and that their water is changed frequently to avoid it freezing.

Simply thing is remember the "three p's" with cold weather which is people, pipes, plants, and pets.
