The Salvation Army's district headquarters has placed all local offices on standby.
That's in case the first wave of responders to Prattville, Ala., need help. The town was hit by a tornado Sunday afternoon.
The Meridian Salvation Army office says it is prepared and ready to help, should the call come.
The Prattville tornado injured at least 29 people, damaged about 200 homes and 50 to 100 businesses. No deaths were reported.
