Southeast China Hit By Worst Storms In 50 Years

Reuters news agency says that the heaviest rain in 50 years fell over parts of the Chinese province Guangdong. The heavy rains fell over a two day period causing flooding and leaving at least one person dead and at least two more missing.

More than 6,500 people were evacuated from the area following nearly 16 inches of rain in just two weeks.

This time of year is the rainy season for the area, and more heavy rain is expected to last into the week.
