(ABCNews) -- As the summer season begins in Florida so do the daily rain storms.
This week, several Miami homes were struck by lightning.
On Wednesday homeowner Ivan Jordana saw his house get a jolt from a
lightning bolt that traveled on to his neighbor's home across the street.
Fire investigators say Jordana as well as Georgina Cruz was surprised when the fast moving fire broke out in their homes.
At Cruz's house, the lightning struck a metal roof vent, traveled through an
aluminum pipe and down to a laundry room outlet.
Fire Rescue member Lt Elkin Sierra says a quick response prevented the
double strike from being worse.
A bit further south, Jessica Donado's home was also struck by lightning.
