Friday, May 10 Forecast Discussion

Showers and storms rolled through this morning, and they took enough energy out of the atmosphere that skies have cleared out for many of us. Clouds will return through the overnight hours as well as fog before we see more rain arrive tomorrow morning and be with us throughout the day off and on. We do look to clear out late in our Saturday as the cold front clears the region. The rain for Saturday looks to be of the scattered variety with periods of rain, especially north of I-20, but more persistent rain the further south you head.

Sunday will clear out and see one last cold front arrive. This front will not bring rain, but cooler temperatures, keeping highs on Sunday in the low to mid 70s and dropping lows Monday night into the lower and middle 40s.

High pressure arrives on Monday and this high pressure will set up shop for most of the upcoming week. Temperatures look to return to the 80s by Tuesday. As of now, there are no high enough rain chances to put into the forecast, but we are watching Thursday and Friday as a weak area of low pressure may touch off a shower or two.
