Strong thunderstorms with heavy rain and winds up to 70 miles-per-hour blew through parts of North Texas Wednesday evening, much to the surprise of forecasters and residents.
Tree limbs and power poles were down in parts of Haltom City, but no injuries are reported.
The National Weather Service says the storm involved downburst winds, some up to 70 miles-per-hour. Power outages were also reported in North Richland Hills.
A large thunderstorm also hit McKinney and Celina in Collin County, but there was no major damage.
