Heat Wave Prompts Unusual Move

Some people in Alabama are heeding the governor's call to help others during this heat wave.

The town of Livingston will open its old city hall as a cooling center on Friday and Saturday.

Gov. Bob Riley has asked cities to open public buildings and churches to those without air conditioning during the 100 degree weather.

Multi-County Community Service Agency in Meridian has also made its auditorium available for those who need to escape the sweltering temperatures.
