Insurance officials from Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and South Carolina will be in Mobile on Monday to hear comments on coastal insurance issues that have stirred debate and lawsuits since Hurricane Katrina struck two years ago.
Alabama Insurance Commissioner Walter A. Bell, who is president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), said the session will be held at The Battle House Renaissance Hotel during the NAIC's conference.
Officials from Travelers, State Farm, RenaissanceRe, Municipal Bond Insurance Association (MBIA) and ProtectingAmerica.org are scheduled to provide testimony.
