The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a FLASH FLOOD WATCH for the following counties until midnight:

Clarke
Jasper
Jones
Kemper
Lauderdale
Leake
Neshoba
Newton
Noxubee
Scott
Smith
Winston

A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. Remember, do not attempt to cross flooded roadways.
