Flash flooding was reported around Meridian in the early morning hours of Saturday.

At Highway 11/80 near Peavey, a truck is submerged by flood waters.

18th Avenue at Front Street, near the 18th Avenue Bridge, is closed due to flood waters.

Businesses are flooded and occupants of a flooded vehicle had to be rescued near 5th Street and 29th Avenue.

The intersection of 24th Avenue and 17th Street by Walgreen's and Cefco is also under water.

Cars are also under water at Meridian Crossroads, and four feet of water is flooding the Meridian Subway on 26th Avenue.

Flooding was also reported near 65th Avenue near Structural Steel.

A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for Lauderdale county including Meridian.

Please do not drive unless it is unavoidable. If you must drive, do NOT drive through water-covered roads. Less than a foot of water can float most vehicles.
