Friday, January 4th Evening Forecast Discussion

Posted: Fri 2:57 PM, Jan 04, 2013

A beautiful sunny day for us today as Mother Nature provided us with some much needed Vitamin D after it seems like forever since the sun was out. As quickly as the sun came out, it will disappear tomorrow. High clouds will begin building in overnight ahead of our next system that looks to arrive tomorrow afternoon. This system will usher in rain showers during the afternoon and evening hours and then clear skies out early Sunday morning as it exits.

High pressure then looks to build in for Sunday and Monday, and despite still chilly highs, the sun will return for the beginning of next week. Our next major system we are keeping our eyes on looks to arrive on Tuesday into Wednesday. This system, depending on its exact track and intensity, could mean some storms for us on one of those days. It is a little too early to say for sure what will happen, so for now, will just stick to rain in the forecast.

After this system for the middle of next week, highs look to warm up drastically to close out next week. How drastically? By next Saturday, we may be talking about highs in the 70s! That, of course, is a week away, but a little silver lining in all the rain and cold we've had to start the year!
