Temperatures tonight will drop very close to freezing for many locations, especially those along and north of Highway 80, and we already have some freeze warnings in effect. Freeze Warnings are up for most locations along the state line. Temperatures in these places may touch 32 for a brief period of time.
Temperatures rebound in the afternoon towards 70 and should get there Sunday with more clouds arriving as moisture works northward from the Gulf. Showers should stay west of the area, but a stray shower is not out of the question, but the chance is too low to include in the forecast.
We then warm up into the mid and upper 70s to start next week and should hit 80 for Wednesday before our next cold front arrives. There is still some timing and strength of the front issues this far out, but it looks like the front will arrive on Thursday and exit on Friday, giving us our next shot at rain to close out October. Halloween could be a wet one, so we will monitor it closely.
