A cold front is situated just to the north of I-20 and is continuing to work southward this afternoon. It should clear the viewing area by sunset with rain coming to and end. Skies will start to clear and temperatures will tumble very quickly after sunset as cooler and drier air filters in.
Saturday and Sunday will see highs in the 80s with lows in the 50s with very comfortable conditions across the area. We make a return to the 90s briefly to start next week before temperatures drop back into the upper 80s.
For now, I am keeping rain out of the forecast for next week, although there are hints that a few isolated showers and storms could be possible. We will continue to watch that chance through the weekend and into next week.
