Partly cloudy skies are with us this afternoon, and that will be the trend for our Tuesday and into the first part of our Wednesday before clouds thicken up and afternoon showers and storms develop Wednesday. This will preclude our next system beginning to arrive on Thursday.
Our next system's development is a little tricky to forecast at this point as there are two scenarios. One is that a strong area of low pressure will sit over top of us for the weekend, plummeting temperatures and keeping rain in the forecast. The other is that the low develops more to our north and west, keeping the rain chance in but not as long and not dropping temperatures nearly as much.
I am leaning more towards the latter scenario, however, I do think temperatures will drop a little more than currently forecasted, so I have dropped by temperatures down for the weekend compared to the models. Rain will arrive Thursday with a cold front and be with us potentially through our Saturday before we clear out and start the warming process. Tuesday and Wednesday will easily be the warmest days of the next seven.
