Today was the coolest day of the fall so far. High pressure has settled atop Mississippi and Alabama for tonight, and as cool as this morning was Tuesday morning could be cooler. Dew point temperatures are in the lower to middle 40's locally, but dew points temps in the upper 30's upstream may slide southward tonight. That means our cooler locations could touch 38-39, though most of us will be in the 40-42 range. The high pressure will slide east on Wednesday as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Much like the cold front this past weekend, this next cold front will be moisture starved on its southern flank, which means rain will not be all that likely. The humidity will surge enough to notice an increase in cloud cover during the day Wednesday, but high pressure sends some reinforcing cold air southward Wednesday night and Thursday and nudges the clouds away. The next high pressure will be a fast mover, and its center will migrate east of us as early as Friday. Noticeable warming will take place beginning Friday, and 80's are on tap for this weekend on the warm southerly wind west of the high pressure center. Another cold front will approach Sunday. That will mean another increase in cloud cover, and by Monday the cold front could mean rain. Early indications are much of next week will be on the cool side after a mild and rainy Monday.

Tonight will be clear and unseasonably cold. The low will be near 41. The wind will be light from the north. Tomorrow will be mainly sunny. The high will be near 73. The wind will be from the north/northwest at 5-10 mph. Wednesday will be partly sunny. The morning low will be near 48. The afternoon high will be near 77. Thursday will be sunny. The morning low will be near 45. The afternoon high will be near 74. Friday will be mostly sunny. The morning low will be near 48. The afternoon high will be near 79. Saturday will be partly cloudy. The morning low will be near 50. The afternoon high will be near 83. Sunday will be mostly cloudy. The morning low will be near 56. The afternoon high will be near 84. Monday will be cloudy with a chance for rain. The morning low will be near 59. The afternoon high will be near 81.
