Saturday 1/19 Forecast Discussion

Today was another great day! After dipping down to 20 this morning, Meridian rebounded up to 60 this afternoon, under just a few cirrus (high level) clouds. Those clouds are on their way out, and tonight will be another chilly one, but not as cold as last night as we will drop down to around 34. The forecast for the rest of the week includes plenty of sun, but the tricky part is trying to nail down the temperatures. A weak cold front looks to try and drop in here Monday afternoon and night, and that will kick both our highs and lows down a notch. Tuesday afternoon it looks like we will struggle to get out of the upper 40s, and then Tuesday night most of us will fall into the mid 20s, with some of us dipping to around 20 by early Wednesday morning. After that weak front passes, temperatures will moderate back to where they should be for this time of year (highs in the mid 50s, lows in the mid 30s). Another disturbance, this time coming out of Canada, will make a dive through the Plains, bringing back clouds and perhaps a shower or two, but this far out it's too hard to tell exactly what will happen, so for now, enjoy the sun this week!
