There is no doubt that today was hot, with our official high at Key Field reaching 91 degrees, but the silver lining is that our humidity was way down so it actually felt like 91 and not 101. Unfortunately, that is going to change, as more moisture starts returning back into our area. Heat Indices tomorrow and for just about the rest of the week will hover around the 100 degree mark with highs staying in the low 90s and lows right around 70. We are starting to fall into the summer rut of partly cloudy, hot and humid afternoons, with a chance of a few isolated thunderstorms, and that is exactly what we are looking for each day this week. We will see a few waves of energy pass over us during the week, and that energy combined with the moisture and daytime heating will lead to some afternoon storms each day, with the best chance and coverage coming on Monday. There are no big storm systems headed our way, and tropical development is not expected this week either. Enjoy some pretty good pool weather this week, and keep the umbrella handy in case one of those heavy afternoon storms decides to set up over you!
