Mostly cloudy skies have been impacting the region for the better part of the day today. Towards the afternoon showers and storms began to fire off thanks to a system to our southwest.. Those showers and storms aren't affecting everyone, but the areas that are being affected are seeing heavy rain and very slow moving storms. The rain will linger into the evening hours before falling apart leaving a mild night in store for everyone.

We'll begin to transition back into a summer-like pattern as we head towards Sunday afternoon. Rain showers will stay in the forecast, but will be driven more by daytime heating than anything else. The clouds will begin to break Sunday and Monday leading to partly cloudy skies and yes you guessed it, another warm streak.

A ridge will begin to build in from the west, which will limit our rain chances and make for partly cloudy days. All next week could be on the humid side as well, with a return of Gulf Moisture.

For now, the Ralph Morgan Rodeo looks very August-like with temperatures in the lower 90s and a slight chance of some afternoon storms.
