One more cold night is in store for us before we start to warm up quite nicely. Temperatures will hover around the freezing mark for most of tonight as we will sit under clear skies and allow for cooling. As a new week approaches, so does a new outlook for us when it comes to temperatures. High pressure will build in across the Gulf of Mexico bringing in warmer winds as well as more moisture. This will help keep our temperatures on the rise despite the cloud coverage we will have.
A cold front will move through the area Monday night into Tuesday bringing with it a slight chance of some rain showers for much of the work week. Due to the front possibly stalling before lifting back to the north, rain chances will stay with us through much of the week.
The best chance of any rain will come late week into the weekend. A strong cold front will move across the region and leave us with a rainy weekend. With ample moisture in place as well as unseasonable temperatures, strong storms as well as flooding is possible.
For all of next week temperatures will stay above normal for both highs and lows. A welcome sight for everyone, as I'm sure we are all tired of the cold weather that has surpassed its welcome here.
