Much like yesterday, a few isolated showers and storms have been popping up across the viewing area. Most of the activity as remained well off to our west, but some showers have impacted us this afternoon. We've seen a fair share of clouds and sun today, but as the sun sets not only will the rain dissipate, but the clouds will go with it.

Sunday looks to be a good amount of sunshine and slightly warmer as the ridge continues to build in from the southwest. Heat indices much like the today will also be closing in on the century mark.

Sunday night into Monday, the ridge will begin to break down as a strong trough digs in from the North. The trough and associated cold front will clear most of the viewing area by Tuesday and looks to possibly stall out somewhere around the I-20 corridor. The cold front not only will bring a round of showers and storms, but will usher in some Canadian air with temperatures holding steading in the lower to mid 80s.

The latter portion of next week looks to stay cool as we recover from the cool down with rain in the forecast for all days. We begin another transition into next weekend as we once again warm up into the 90s.
