Tropical depression Karen is rapidly dying off as strong shear tears the system apart. The major storm is a powerful system that is bringing heavy rain, severe weather, and blizzard like conditions across the country.
Here locally we will only see the heavy rain. Starting late tonight, scattered showers are going to begin and, other than a few breaks, it wont end till tomorrow afternoon. I expect we will see a few rumbles of thunder through the overnight hours, but nothing severe is expected.
Once the rain ends, we are looking at some fantastic weather as cooler, drier air will dominate next week. I'm expect mostly clear skies and temperatures in the upper 70's for most of the week. The only draw back is that our overnight lows are going to be quite chilly, dropping off into the 40's in some spots.
