It's raining...no big surprise there. Also no surprise, the rain will linger for a couple more days. The front passed through earlier this evening, and temperatures are in the 50s area wide. All of the precipitation is behind the front with lift provided by warm air still moving in above the surface. This lift will remain in place through Wednesday, which means, you guessed it, more rain for us. In fact, we could add another 1-3" before Wednesday is over. Flooding is now a major concern and something we are watching closely.

Temperatures won't move much the next three days, so expect highs and lows in the low to mid 40s. We will finally dry out on Friday and start warming back into the 50s.

On a related note, the Mississippi and Arkansas Deltas could see some winter precipitation tomorrow. They look to be cold enough to see some freezing rain. We will stay way too warm for any of that (thank goodness) but if you will be traveling to the Delta, be aware bridges and overpasses could be very dangerous and check MDOT for any traffic advisories.
