Thanksgiving Day Forecast Discussion

Posted: Thu 4:58 PM, Nov 22, 2012

I hope everyone has had a great Thanksgiving! The weather was extremely nice, but it looks like the trend of warm, clear days in unfortunately coming to an end. Tomorrow will be a day of transition. We'll be in the mid 40s tonight with some clouds and fog, so bring a jacket if you're headed out shopping, but we'll warm up to around 70 again tomorrow, with noticable more clouds. A few of us could see a stray shower, but I do think the vast majority of us stay dry. After the cold front pushes through tomorrow it is going to turn cold! We'll only make it to the 50s on Saturday, and if you're headed to the Egg or Iron Bowl, temperatures probably won't make it out of the 40s, and with a brisk North wind it's going to feel even colder so make sure you bundle up! We moderate a little bit for Sunday and Monday, but Monday night into Tuesday looks stormy with the possibility of some severe weather. It's too early to tell at this point, but it's definitely something we're keeping an eye on. After that front pushes out Tuesday afternoon, the rest of the week looks great and very seasonable with highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s and 40s.
