This morning was officially the coldest morning for this fall so far. We warmed during the afternoon, though not as much as expected. High pressure is quick to retreat in response to an advancing cold front. This cold front will not pack the chill that the previous cold front brought, but since we have not warmed the present cold front will be a reinforcement of what is already in place. Another high pressure cell behind the cold front will quickly move across our area, and as early as Thursday night a warmer southerly wind west of the high pressure's center will begin a warming trend that will build throughout the weekend. With a longer period of time than the previous two cold fronts for the deeper and more abundant humidity to return to the area, the next cold front, which is staged to move through our area Monday, will have more moisture to work with and will be more likely to produce some rain for us. The rain with that cold front will precede what is likely to be another cool down next week.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear early with clouds increasing overnight. The low will be near 49. The wind will be light from the south/southwest.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy. The morning low will be near 51. The afternoon high will be near 82.
