Tuesday, February 26 Forecast Discussion

Clouds are hanging tough this afternoon, but we will begin to clear them out this evening and overnight before turning partly cloudy for our Wednesday. Clouds will be a common staple for most of the next 7 days, but we will still see plenty of sunshine mixing in with those clouds.

The main story over the next 7 days is the big cool down that we will see. Temperatures for our Wednesday should just be able to make it to 60 before colder air returns and we end up with highs in the 40s on Saturday. This big surge of colder air will slowly drop temps each day, and it won't be until we start next week that we rebound back towards the mid 60s, which is our normal high for this time of year.

We should remain dry until Tuesday when our next weather system arrives. However, something to take note will be Saturday as some of our models are hinting that we may see some precipitation with the colder air. I'm not buying it at this point, but it is something to watch for the very small, small, small (did I say small) potential at this point for a snowflake.

Also, we have something very cool in the works, but you will have to wait until Friday on Good Morning Meridian or Live at 5 and Newscenter 11 at 6 and 10 to find out what it is.
