High pressure is still influencing our weather today, and as a result, just a few clouds and little to no rain has developed across East Mississippi and West Alabama. High pressure looks to remain our major player into the weekend, which means that the weather from now into the weekend will be similar each and every day.
Changes will attempt to arrive as we work into Monday and Tuesday as our high pressure weakens and an area of low pressure will set up to our west. The question at this point is how close this area of low pressure gets to us. If it actually arrives and heads to our east, cooler and wetter weather will greet us for the final week of June. If, however, it stays to our west, the further west it remains the drier and warmer we will be while the closer would signal a wetter pattern.
Temperatures will remain in the low 90s into next week with lows around 70.
