A stray shower or two has developed this afternoon, and that will be the case until sunset tonight. Tomorrow looks to be dry for just about everyone as high pressure builds in over top of the area. The quiet weather will be short lived as storms could end up arriving from our northwest Thursday and Friday. The main threat of rain will be over the weekend.
A deepening upper level low will drop in from the north starting on Saturday and remain with us through at least Tuesday. This means a prolonged period of showers and storms, as well as cooler temperatures to begin July. As of now, it is a little to early to say if we will see anything severe, but we are watching that closely.
Temperatures will warm into the lower 90s as we close out the work week before highs drop into the mid and upper 80s to begin July as cooler air arrives with our upper level low.
