What a difference a weekend can make. Last week we had showers associated with an upper level low, and this week it will be high pressure that dominates our forecast. Expect temperatures to climb into the 90s by tomorrow, but they will continue to climb for the next few days and start approaching the mid 90’s by the weekend.
The calendar says June 3rd but it will feel more like late July. The moisture from last week’s showers is still here and this moisture combined with the heat will make for some very uncomfortable afternoons. Don’t forget to drink plenty of fluids if you plan on being outside for extended periods of time, as dehydration can set in very quickly in this heat.
Warm, moist air also brings up the chance seeing pop up showers in the afternoon hours. These storms are usually very short lived, but can produce heavy rain and lightning over their short lifespan.
Bottom line…this is very much so a summer-like pattern we are seeing and it is expect to continue to be that way for the next several days.
