Tuesday, March 12 Forecast Discussion

Posted: Tue 4:18 PM, Mar 12, 2013

Beautiful clear skies were with us today, and will be with us through the rest of the work week. High pressure has built in, and will stay with us through the remainder of the week. Wednesday, though, will be the coldest day of the next 7 as we will struggle to reach even 60 degrees.

A big warm up is on the way for this weekend. Our winds will turn from the south and southwest, which will pump in unseasonably warm air. Temperatures over the weekend will be very similar to last with highs in the low to mid 70s. I will say that some models are hinting that we may make our first run at 80 this year, but at this point, I think that is too warm.

Rain will return on Monday as a weak cold front takes its time to cross the Twin States. We may see rain linger into Tuesday, but after that, it looks like we again dry out to welcome in Spring officially.
