Another hot and humid day with heat indices reaching 105 for many of us this afternoon. As if right on cue, isolated storms have developed along the Mississippi/Alabama state line. We will see a few storms this evening before they fall apart after sunset.
Really the next couple of days will be repeats of what we have been experiencing for the last couple of days. As we work into the weekend, high pressure will slide a bit more to our west, which will allow an increase in storm coverage starting on Sunday and remaining through next Tuesday as a cold front arrives Monday into Tuesday.
Depending on how much our high pressure weakens, we might actually see a nice little cool down for the middle of next week, but as this ridge has been very slow to want to leave, I am not optimistic that will happen yet.
