Wednesday, March 6 Forecast Discussion

Posted: Wed 3:15 PM, Mar 06, 2013

Another sunny day and a comfortable one as cooler air from our northwest has moved in. This current air mass will begin to warm aloft tomorrow and that will trickle down to the surface the next several days. Highs will increase about 5 degrees each day from now until Sunday when we will max out at 74.

High pressure is building to our west ahead of a big area of low pressure along the Pacific Coast. This area of low pressure will stay well to our west until Saturday when it will begin moving in our direction. It looks to arrive here late Sunday into Monday and will bring showers and maybe a storm or two with it. This system will depart late Monday and then clear us back out.

There are no real big roller coasters in the next 7 days in terms of temperatures as highs will range from 60 Thursday to 74 on Sunday. It appears Mother Nature is attempting to settle into a more Springtime pattern which means the big swings in temperatures should become less numerous, but are not impossible.
