DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) -- Several counties in southeast Alabama are closing schools as Tropical Storm Fay is forecast to bring wind and heavy rains to the region.
Schools will closed Friday at 1 p.m. in Houston, Geneva and Henry counties. Dothan City and Geneva City schools will also end classes at 1 p.m.
Fay has prompted communities on the state's Gulf coast to brace for what could be drenching rains over the weekend.
