TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
500 PM PDT FRI AUG 22 2008

FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE..

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN ASSOCIATION WITH A BROAD AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE LOCATED ABOUT 160 MILES SOUTHWEST OF MANZANILLO MEXICO
HAVE BECOME LESS ORGANIZED THIS EVENING. ALTHOUGH UPPER-LEVEL WINDS
ARE NOT CURRENTLY FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT...THIS SYSTEM STILL HAS
THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION OVER THE NEXT DAY OR
TWO AS IT MOVES NORTHWESTWARD TOWARD AN ENVIRONMENT MORE CONDUCIVE
FOR DEVELOPMENT. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS AND GUSTY WINDS ARE POSSIBLE
ALONG THE COAST OF SOUTHWESTERN MEXICO AS THE SYSTEM PASSES
OFFSHORE.

SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY HAS DIMINISHED CONSIDERABLY NEAR
THE REMNANTS OF ISELLE...LOCATED ABOUT 1300 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CABO
SAN LUCAS MEXICO. REDEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM IS NOT ANTICIPATED.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
