When it comes to Senator Barack Obama's choice for a running mate, Lauderdale County Democratic Party members say they are pleased with Obama's selection. Chairwoman Melba Clark says Biden's experience in foreign policy will give Obama an edge for a strong ticket in November.

"But as far as his choice is concerned we are very excited about that. We think that Senator Biden will be a real asset to his campaign. He's older, he has more experience and we feel as if his general uh ability to speak out and say what he thinks will be an asset to Obama because Obama has said he does not want a 'yes man," said Melba Clark, Chair of the Lauderdale County Democratic Party.
