A low pressure trough from about 20,000 feet to 40,000 feet helped to enhance lift caused by afternoon heating on our Monday. The low pressure trough will slowly slide away, but not before driving a cold front through our area late this week. Between now and then, the low pressure trough in the middle and upper troposphere will help to enhance lift from daytime heating to help generate some showers and thunderstorms, especially with weak mid-level low pressure pulses to help out at times. What has not changed is that the rain will be from spotty to scattered showers and thunderstorms, which means some of our area will see rain while some of our area will not see rain. The cold front I mentioned for late this week could be the first noticeable cold front of the fall, bringing a wave of showers and thunderstorms to most of our area on Friday. Then temperatures and humidity will drop noticeably behind the cold front. The high pressure that builds into our area behind the cold front will quickly slide to our east and ramp the humidity back up for early next week.

Evening rain will end giving way to partly cloudy skies overnight. The low will be near 71. The wind will be light from the north. Tomorrow will be partly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. The high will be near 93. The wind will be from the north at 3-7 mph. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a few afternoon showers. The morning low will be near 72. The afternoon high will be near 94. Thursday will be partly cloudy with spotty to scattered showers and thunderstorms. The morning low will be near 71. The afternoon high will be near 93. Friday will be partly to mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms. The morning low will be near 74. The afternoon high will be near 90. Saturday will be mostly sunny and noticeably less humid after any early morning rain ends. The morning low will be near 67. The afternoon high will be near 88. Sunday will be mainly sunny. The morning low will be near 65. The afternoon high will be near 89. Monday will be mainly sunny. The morning low will be near 69. The afternoon high will be near 92.
