MIAMI (AP) -- Forecasters say Tropical Storm Emilia could soon
become a hurricane, but the storm is not expected to threaten land.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said Emilia was
moving away from land over open ocean Sunday. It was 565 miles southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. Maximum sustained winds were recorded at 65 mph.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Daniel was still swirling farther out at
sea, but the storm is expected to weaken over the next couple of
days.
