Tropical Storm Aletta Weakening in the Pacific

MIAMI (AP) -- Tropical Storm Aletta is weakening as it spins far
out over the Pacific.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says the storm's
maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 40 mph early Wednesday with gradual weakening expected during the next two
days.

Aletta is centered about 830 miles south-southwest of the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California. The storm is moving toward the west near 9 mph.
