Your Forecast: Several small disturbances rotating around a large low pressure system over the Plains will mean some storminess for us again on Wednesday. As a warm and humid air mass spikes north and east from the Southern Plains, our environment becomes increasingly unstable and brings the potential for severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Weather History:  On this day in 1973, an F2 tornado moved through Granada County. In 1992, an F3 tornado killed 3 and injured 57 in Lauderdale County. On this day in 2000, severe thunderstorms produced damaging winds and large hail, measuring between 0.75 and 1.75 inches in diameter. Over 50 reports of hail and 20 reported of damaging winds were reported to the National Weather Service, costing nearly $400,000 in property damage.
