Great Day Ahead: High pressure continues to track across the Twin States today, which will keep skies clear today and tonight. Highs will reach the upper 70s to lower 80s with a light northernly breeze.

Next Shot of Rain: Another system arrives Tuesday night but will stall to our west as skies become more cloudy Tuesday and we could see an isolated shower to the west. A couple passing upper-level waves increase the chance of rain Wednesday and Thursday. Rain totals could be more than 2 inches in some isolated spots.

Weather History:  On this date in 1990 baseball sized hail hammered areas of Warren County. This was also a wet day in 1990 when more than 7 inches of rainfall was measured at Rockport and Union Church. On this date in 1976 golfball sized hail pelted areas of Morehouse and Richland Parishes. On this date in 1992 golfball sized hail struck sections of Jones County.
