Your Forecast: A large area of low pressure moving into the Ohio Valley tonight will move eastward over the weekend. Around that big low pressure area, smaller low pressure swirls will develop and at last of couple of them will pass close enough to us to enhance our rain chances Saturday and Sunday mornings. Some cool air is also filtering into our area around the south side of that big low pressure area.
Weather History: On this day in 1999, heavy rains caused flash flooding in Jones, Marion, and Forrest Counties. In 2003, there numerous reports of hail less than 1 inch in diameter and damaging winds associated with thunderstorms moving through Central Mississippi.
