Partly cloudy skies have been the story for most of everyone today, with a few isolated showers and storms knocking on some doors. As we head towards the evening hours and the daytime heating wanes, the showers and storms will begin to taper off making for a very pleasant evening. The cold front is still clearing the viewing area to our south and will stall out to the south of us tomorrow, kicking off a few showers and storms. Any showers and storms that do form tomorrow, should stay south of I-20.
This weekend, the dead of summer makes a return as temperatures make a run for the mid 90s. Factor in the dewpoints in East Mississippi/West Alabama and it will feel more like 100+ degrees. The only relief in store this weekend is an isolated shower or storm developing that will cool the areas that see it. The good news is by Monday, we have a nice cool down in the works.
The cold front that will swing through Monday will kick off some more showers and storms. Behind the front, drier and cooler air will swoop in making for a very descent and beautiful next week. Highs will be in the middle to upper 80s and lows in the middle 60s.
