Storm chances decrease on Friday
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Happy Friday! Isolated showers and storms will be possible on our Friday, but most of us will remain dry. Dust from the Sahara Desert will thicken over our area as we head throughout the day, so expect there to be hazy conditions today. If the dust gets close to the ground, those with respiratory issues should stay indoors as much as possible and to use extra caution if you have to be outside. Temperatures on our Friday will climb into the low-90s. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies tonight with a chance of an isolated shower before midnight. Saturday morning lows will be in the low-70s.
We’ll see mostly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered showers and storms Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. High temperatures will slowly warm through the low-90s during this time frame as morning lows stay in the low-70s. The Saharan dust will be thickest over our area on Saturday. Scattered shower and storm chances will continue into Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Highs will drop back down into the upper-80s by Thursday.
