MBCI extends order suspending all Tribal Courts

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians has been hit hard by COVID -19, along with Neshoba County.

In an announcement posted to the MBCI’s official Facebook page, the order suspending all Choctaw Tribal Courts has been extended. As of now, the extension will last through July 6.

The original order came back in March from Chief Cyrus Ben. The order excludes certain emergency actions.

As of June 30, the MBCI has reported 921 positive cases of COVID-19, 685 recoveries, and 63 deaths. In Neshoba County, a total of 952 cases and 68 deaths have been reported.
